I’m keeping it simple this year. The last few years I’ve come up with a long list of resolutions. I start in January with a list of 5-7 resolutions, forget about them during the year, and realize (usually in December) that I haven’t accomplished most of them.
This year’s resolutions don’t have anything to do with flirting, dating or limiting my alcohol intake. No resolutions about figuring out what to do with my life (too much pressure). And especially no resolutions about dieting and losing weight. This year’s resolutions are about enjoying life.
This year I will cook more, entertain more and worry less.
And maybe I’ll find the time to learn to swim and study French. But if I don’t, there’s always next year.
Happy New Year!
This might be the best idea yet. Happy New Year!
Well said. The best resolutions I’ve ever read. 🙂
Great resolutions. Re: cooking more – you should buy “How to Eat” by Nigella. It’s her first book and is really quite interesting. It’s a cookbook, but not really – you can actually curl up and read it for hours because she talks you through all the recipes and her general philosophies on food.
Sounds delicious! I just ordered the book.
